AUGUST WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
Plan ahead and sign up your children for a creative, fun, and educational summer camp program at Quiggly's Clayhouse! We're offering week-long camps and daily workshops (please call ahead) beginning June 8 for nine weeks over the summer. See below for camp schedule, or click here.
Camp projects involve painting pottery, clay throwing on the pottery wheel, mosaics, glass fusing and clay sculpting. Each week during AM CAMP we will create a “keystone” project one of Quiggly's art mediums. These “keystone” projects are high-quality, large and totally-cool items that normally cost $40 - $75 (or more) to make if you were a walk-in customer.
“Keystone” project we will be making this summer include:
- Glass Rectangle Triple-Dish- a very complex glass fusion design
- Colossal Cup & Saucer (designed to be a planter for a medium-sized plant)
- Personalized, Custom-Carved Pumpkin (life sized)- your name will be carved into the pumpkin
- 16” Mosaic Lazy Susan- spins on ball bearings- is very sturdy and perfect for everyone
- Painted Giant Gecko- hangs on your wall or sits on your shelf
- Giant T-Rex- this guy stands 18” tall!
- Giant Pigasaurus- large than a human head- never before sold in-studio!
Quiggly's Summer Camps and daily workshops are ideal for kids with little or no experience using pottery, mosaics, glass fusing and other artistic mediums. More than just art education, Quiggly’s art camps are the perfect entertainment venue for kids to escape the summer heat and embark on imaginative adventures!
Our projects are designed to expand kids' appreciation for creative learning and artistic expression. Quiggly's creative process challenges children to develop skills for using pottery, mosaics and glass as an artistic medium.
Designing, planning and executing the creative process, as well as learning patience, creative thinking and problem solving are all a part of the creating process!
Quiggly’s camp teachers are experienced in all art forms offered in Summer Art Camp. Kirby, Kristi, Jennifer, Eric and the rest of the Quiggly's crew have been teaching large & small groups of children for years. Jennifer studied pottery in High School, Eric trained in College and even builds kilns. Mr. Kirby just finished the school year teaching Art at St. Joseph's Catholic school (k - 8th grade). We always ensure everyone receives personal attention and an abundance of inspiration!
Snack and drinks are provided. Cancellations required two weeks in advance. Payment will be returned, less $50, in cash or via credit card. Thanks!
Camp Schedule:
4hr Camp: 9am - 1pm, only $250 +tax, five days.
2hr Camp: 2pm - 4pm, only $150 +tax, five days.
NEW FOR 2009: Single-day workshops: 2pm - 4pm, only $35 +tax!
If you are registering less than a week in advance, you must call ahead to confirm availability for daily workshops!
